Q: How do we contact you with questions we might have about the website, decorating or gift buying?

Q: My house looks blah….the weather is getting warmer and it feels dark and dreary in this place. What can I do, on a budget, to bright it up around here?

A: I love to change things seasonally, just to feel as fresh and new inside as it appears outside! Let the seasons guide you in this change…let the colors in. Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to take full advantage of lightening your house up. Go into your garden, take a walk in a park, drive to the beach and take it all in and create your own new palate of the season for your home.

Here are some quick seasonal tips that are not costly:

*Remove the dark pillows and throws on chairs and couches – change them out for lighter colors and softer fabrics. (Do not toss out the old, just store them away for when the seasons must change again….)

*Look at the artwork hanging. Is it gloomy? Pick up some floral prints or photographs or get those dark frames replaced with a lighter frame and mat. See, you were thinking of tossing those old things out and now with a new frame you have salvaged something special.

*Look at your dishes in the cupboard. Tired of the same old stuff? Look for some new, brighter plates that can spice up all that you have. Or, buy some new placemats that make your dishes look different.

*Remember to treat yourself to a bouquet every so often. Fresh flowers do wonders for the soul and spirit. Think of someone special when you buy them….think of them as a gift from a loved one from your past.
